For the past year and a half, the Stave & Thief Society, based at the Distilled Spirits Epicenter in Louisville, has been certifying experts, called bourbon stewards, to educate others about Kentucky’s signature spirit. FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky’s iconic Bourbon distilleries filled a whopping 1,886,821 barrels of amber nectar last year, breaking production records all the way back to 1967, the Kentucky Distillers’ Association announced today.
